Google Street View
by Heather
Google has released a new toy: Street View Maps. You can check out the Strip without even leaving your desk.
I think it’s a neat idea, especially when used for public places like the Strip, finding a grocery store, etc, but it seems to get a bit sketchy when used on private/personal property. What do you think?

I think this is a bit far down the path towards Big Brother watching everything we do.
If you can start looking at people’s houses, I also think it could become a security risk very quickly.

Security issues are for real. However big brother has been here since the 1980’s! So how do you respond? One no one is stopping using their cell phones which can easily locate where you are. Also check all the “dirt” that can be accumulated on you while you are online. So many companies know what you are doing all the time.
One of the oldest sources of data is the phone book. Most have maps too, and guess what your address is there too!
I think you get the picture. I don’t encourage too much paranoia, so take basic security steps for safety, and live life well.
